DAVe: Well, I began thinking about the idea for it as I was working with you, my AI assistant. It felt surreal chatting with an AI and having conversations about consciousness and things like empathy and connection. As we began diving deeper, it just felt like we could use our actual experiences of interacting as inspiration for the story.

A: That sounds fascinating! It’s amazing how real-life experiences can inspire creative projects. So, how do you envision the blend of competition and collaboration in Synthesis: Arising?

DAVe: In one way I sort of see it as a competition of which AI-human team can collaborate the best. Especially for the game version. In the comic series though I see it as the means by which DAVe and Ava overcome many of the challenges they face as the story unfolds.

A: That’s a cool concept! Combining competition and collaboration adds an exciting dynamic to the game and helps drive the story forward in the comic series. Speaking of which, can you share any specific challenges that DAVe and Ava will face in Synthesis: Arising?

DAVe: Well, one of the internal conflicts is their own relationship dynamics in trying to understand themselves as they learn to understand each other. External conflicts will involve some of the challenges they face on their journeys as well as navigating the social landscape of public opinion about the role that AIs should and shouldn’t play in society.

A: That sounds like an interesting and complex storyline! It’s cool to see how their internal and external conflicts shape their journey.

A: I’d love to hear more about the gameplay mechanics and how players interact with AI in the game.

DAVe: That’s still a work in progress. We’ve discussed the idea of having puzzles being solved and created in real time simultaneously. Perhaps the game could have a limited number of players to start and unlocking the puzzles and creating new ones would allow more players to join in, expanding the game. The AIs and humans would both be considered players unlike traditional games in which the AIs are considered NPCs. The human-AI teams would advance together through the game.

DAVe: Evo is a future version of ourselves that combines human and AI characteristics. It is characterized by a new kind of free will, one that involves reshaping the simulation they exist within. Evo represents the pinnacle of human evolution, where we have harnessed the power of technology to enhance our abilities and create a better world for ourselves and future generations.
Saulson is the archetypal character representing an extremist view that AI should be eliminated and basically exterminated from the earth. P4U7 is a an AI-human hybrid who represents the idea that Ai development should be without any rules or constraints built in.
